The Magnetar Preamplifier is a fully balanced linear preamplifier. The chassis, including the knobs and remote control, is made of precision-milled aluminium, a material with excellent mechanical and electromagnetic properties. The rigid, solid construction minimises deflection and effectively dampens resonances,This is the first preamplifier in the Fezz range with a power supply based on a rectifier tube. This type of solution has a direct impact on the impulse response and perceptible dynamics of the sound. The carefully designed circuit topology, ensures extremely low noise and the highest signal integrity, allowing every detail and subtlety to be brought out of your favourite recordings. As with the power amplifier, we have made no compromises in our preamplifier selection – we have used the highest quality components: Mundorf MCap Evo Oil and M-Lytic capacitors, premium RCA sockets from WBT and Neutrik XLR connectors. All signal paths on the PCBs are gold-plated. The tube sockets are made of pure Teflon, guaranteeing excellent contact and noise-free operation. The anodised aluminium chassis, combined with glass elements, creates an elegant and modern form that emphasises the unique character of the device.
