Fezz identity

Fezz Audio is a company founded on a love of music and analog solutions. It manufactures tube amplifiers using toroidal transformers. It has its own production facility and offers equipment of excellent quality at favorable prices. When we started our cooperation in 2019, the company already had a group of loyal customers – true fans of good sound and top-notch equipment. Until now, their products were created without designers. Their strengths were quality and durability, but not necessarily appearance and character.

The new products were part of a larger change: a complete metamorphosis to meet the changing standards of the market. In this spirit, we carried out the entire process. We held a series of meetings and workshops where we worked with the Fezz team to develop a brand mission and vision, company values, brand DNA, brand archetype and many other key activities that helped us create the company’s new visual identity. Fezz underwent a rebranding: a new logo, claim, and all visual communications were created. In addition, we created services and tools to increase customer satisfaction during their contact with the brand: a mobile application, a product catalog, a website with a configurator, but also packaging with thoughtful logistics and an inviting user experience.

The logotype was inspired by the typeface Brandon Grotesque Regular Italic. The letters were modified by adding a smooth extension of the horizontal dash in the letters “f” and “z”. The bar in the letter “e ”was intentionally shortened to make the logo suitable for punching with various technologies on products. The graphic element that dominates in the logotype is the wave and fluidity of the lettering, which allude to analog waves, sound waves and music.

The “MADE OF MUSIC” brand claim directly relates to the company’s philosophy. The brand’s owners Maciej and Tomek Lachowski created the brand out of their passion for music and for people who love music.

The brand claim was created at a workshop we conducted for the Fezz brand. Out of the 4 proposals that were created, 47 respondents unrelated to the company voted for the best one. Among them: design and graphic designers, programmers, journalists, architects, managers, a physiotherapist, a freeride world champion, engineers, musicians, art directors, marketers, entrepreneurs, an economist, a lawyer, film sound engineers, band musicians, an instrument teacher, a fitness trainer, facilitators and strategists.
